It can be difficult to choose a ghostwriter for your project, one who produces quality work while still writing in a style similar to your own. For this reason I have posted some writing samples in a few of the areas in which I specialize- information technology, relationships and law enforcement- to help you better understand my style and decide if I am the right fit for your project’s goals. Benefits of Computer Networking for Businesses

In today’s technology driven world computers are a part of doing everything associated with running a business day-to-day. With email, on-line meetings and research needing to be done over the Internet it is rare to find a computer in a business setting that does not have Internet access. There is another aspect to business computing that can sometimes be overlooked, especially in a smaller office or business environment, computer networking.

Computer networking is different from simply having computers with internet access. Computer networking means that not only can the computers get on-line, but they can also talk to each other and to local or remote servers. There are many advantages to computer networking especially in the business world. A computer network can consist of as few as two computers, or might be many hundreds of computers and work stations all linked together in a production environment.

One big advantage to computer networking is that it can allow an employee to use files on their primary computer from a computer they may be working on in another office miles away, or simply on another floor of the building. Computer networking also lets larger offices with lots of employees deploy software to many work stations at once by running the software or application from a central server, thus eliminating the need to install the application to each and every computer. Obviously this is a big advantage when the network administrator is dealing with several hundred computers that all need access to the same software application. And it also simplifies trouble shooting the software itself should a problem arise.

Yet another benefit is allowing remote access to work files and applications when they are at home or on the road. This is very helpful if an employee forgets a critical file, a presentation, or needs to use up to date data from a sales meeting or other out-of-town event. This can prevent a lot of headaches when away from the office.

Taking advantage of all the things modern computing offers, can make doing business easier and more efficient than ever before.

A Brief Overview of Sheriff’s Departments in the US

In the United States a county sheriff’s department is commonly the county-wide law enforcement agency responsible for maintaining the county’s correctional system and providing law enforcement services to unincorporated areas of the county. Sheriff’s departments are also often contracted by cities to offer police services for their citizens when they do not have a municipal police department of their own. This practice is becoming more common as many cities choose to disband their police departments as a budget cutting measure.

The county Sheriff is the head law enforcement officer of a county and in charge of the law enforcement operations of his department. A sheriff is an elected official and cannot be removed absent some ethical or criminal misconduct. A county sheriff’s department has two primary responsibilities, maintaining the county correctional system and providing law enforcement services. Many sheriff’s departments also have search and rescue divisions.

One, not widely known fact, is that the word ‘sheriff’ is derived from an Anglo-Saxon English term, ‘Shire Reeve’. A Shire Reeve acted much as a sheriff does today and was responsible for enforcing laws and keeping the peace under authority of the crown in a particular district, or shire. Later, of course, the word became Anglicized as sheriff.
